A beloved family member.
One who is older than any of the kids.
One who gave more love than she ever could have received.
One who will be dearly missed by us all.
The one and only Happy Honsal is spending her last spoiled night on a comfy bed inside a warm house. She is nearly 14 years old. Mike and I bought her as our 1st year anniversary present to each other. She was our first baby. The first one to dig up ALL my freshly planted tulip bulbs!
This is really hard on Mike and I, but on Juliet as well. Juliet has always been extremely close to Happy. They were buddies. Happy always sat with Jewelz as she did her homework, from the time she started school. This is the first time my kids have really lost a pet. I don't count fish, cause we've lost countless and the kids aren't attached to them, so that hasn't impacted them.
But this.
This has been a first. First time I've had to explain how we put animals down. Why we have to do it, and that it's completely ok to cry and be sad.
We'd love your prayers. They will comfort us as we walk this path.
And that we don't get too annoyed with Zoey. One who just chewed
through my vacuum cord tonight. Nice.

Our heart is with all of you, a pet is always forgiving and loving with no questions asked. Remember, Juliet, Happy will always be with you in your heart.
Much love and prayers from the Schaefers. Its never easy saying goodbye to a family member.
With tears running down my cheeks I write to you our deepest sympathies. Loosing a beloved family member is so difficult. JR and I were faced with the same dreadful decision about 6 years ago when we had to put Jarvin, our 13 yr old Golden. The girls were only 4 and it was so difficult explaining Heaven to them. We still treasure the memories and will send a message to Jarvin to look out for Happy and introduce her to his friends! HUGS!!
