We were hoping that Jules would knock this Bronchitis thing and we'd all be good again. Cal coughed all night long and Mia woke me up with, "Mommy something's weird when I cough." So yea, Cal and Mia both have croup! Great! Now Mia has the Hello Kitty humidifier she's always wanted. We made it this far with only one, but now we need two humidifiers! Wish us luck this weekend!

Tahoe
We were invited up to Tahoe to help celebrate our good friends, The Chilcotes, 12th anniversary! With the schedule that we have had lately where Mike and I have had next to no couple time, and we've only been able to steal away a few moments here and there of family time, we were REALLY looking forward to this! We got to spend the whole weekend as a family! Well, Jules began Friday complaining of a tummy ache and a rapidly worsening sore throat. She woke around 11pm throwing up with a slight fever. We stumbled through the night and when she woke at 6am with another fever and feeling very ill, we decided to pack up and head home.
As Cal woke up shortly after Jules and then Mia to follow 10 minutes later we got to packing. The rest of the house was asleep, so I took Mia and Cal for a walk at 6:30am and it was BEAUTIFUL out! The weather was gorgeous and the sites couldn't not have been any better. Cal loved finding sticks and carrying them with him all over the place. He learned this weekend to hit the ground with the stick and say, "High-ya!" Still not sure where that came from, hmmmm....
We got back to the condo where Dean and Carole convinced us to stay even though Jules wasn't well. She looked a lot better after the Motrin, so we thought we would stick it out with her just taking it really easy. Well, see the post below to know the rest of the story with her...
Tahoe was absolutely beautiful. Between Carole, Laura, Julie, and I we have a few hundred pictures! We spend Saturday afternoon playing in the freezing water but beautiful weather at the Lake. It was a great day! We then went back to the condo and sang to Cal over his birthday cake! He really liked that! We had fondue for dinner (I highly recommend that if you haven't done it recently) and finally went to bed just after midnight after some games and laughter. Only to be up with Jules being sick again. I think we finally all drifted off to sleep about 3:30am Sunday morning. Cal decided that he had had enough sleep by 6am, so he and I went out for another long walk in the hopes everyone else would catch some more z's.
All in all, the weekend was fantastic! We really didn't want to leave at all! I would rather spend a few weeks there than just the weekend. It was definitely something that our family needed (even though Jules was sick).

Miss Sicky-Poo
We have been so thankfully healthy for quite some time now, so I guess it was time we were due. Jules came down with something last weekend and just hasn't shaken it. She went to school yesterday because we "thought" she was finally on the mend. She ended the school day with another fever. So since it's been a week now of sickness, I took her into the doc today and sure enough....Bronchitis. She's on antibiotics now and hopefully this will kick it for good. I'm shocked that no one in the rest of the house (nor any of our friend we were with last weekend) have picked up anything. Cal just started coughing tonight, so cross your fingers it's just a freak thing!
I have a ton of pics and updates for you! I'll get to that tomorrow more than likely!

I've been tagged...
Maybe I should - start going to bed earlier
I love the smell of - the kids after bath time, brownies baking, other people's bbq
People would say that I- am creative and love family time
I don’t understand why - some people are allowed to be parents, there should be a test you have to take.
When I wake up in the morning - stumble into the shower, check on my friends online, get ready for work in a sleeping house, and leave for the day after I've written a few notes to the kiddos.
I lost my willpower to - keep the house clean all the time, and be at work earlier than I have to
I'm glad - school is almost out for the summer. I can't wait to spend the days with my family!
Life is - following God's direction and listening to him (a daily lesson)
My past made me - realize who I want to be as a parent and the relationship I want to have with my kids
I get annoyed when - Mike has to work too many days in a row
Parties are not a good time to - be a "Me Monster"
Dogs are - a great part of the family
Cats are - unpredictable therefor I don't like them at all!
Tomorrow is - Hump Day
I have low tolerance for - selfish people
I’m totally terrified of - spiders and something happening to Mike or the kids
I always knew I would - be a mother at the age I am. I'm so glad Mike and I didn't wait any longer to have a family!!
Never in my life have I - smoked, got drunk, or done the stupid things that go with either of those
High school was - a blast! I enjoyed most of it, as well as all the activities I was involved in.
When I’m nervous I- sweat (lucky me!)
One time at a family gathering - hmm...can't think of anything.
Take my advice - Don't have a tv for the first few years of marriage...you learn to communicate more
Making my bed- doesn't happen often but when it does, Mike does it
I'm almost always - thinking of something to do
I’m addicted to - my internet friends, my camera, family time
I want someone to - invent cars that run off of air or water (great idea Sarah!)
Now I tag...Carole, Laura, & Mary

Spring Sun
It was in the low 90's today and it's supposed to get to the 100's by the end of the week! YIKES! Mike didn't have practice tonight, so we decided to go to one of the sprinkler parks this afternoon to cool down. It was a great way to kick off the season of warm weather.

My new wheels!
My Mother's Day was very nice. I woke up to the girls giving me the cards they had made along with a gift that Calvin and Mike had picked out. I got a stash camera! You know, one that is small enough to stash in my purse for those addicts like me?! hehe
We got ready for church and were actually early for a change. (That's a miracle in itself!) We came home and made some lunch, then headed off to find the other Mother's Day gift Mike had planned. We drove all over (and I mean all over!) the Sac area looking for the prefect bike! I have been researching online for the kind of bike I want and I had it narrowed down to 3 brands. I just wasn't sure which one specifically until I had ridden them. So we hit about 6-7 bike stores and the one at the first store ended up being the winner! Here's my new wheels!

2 Years Ago Tonight...

This was me:
Anxious for the morning to come so we could meet this little Honsal boy! I was going to be induced 2 days early because both the girls were born early and were big. Also because my blood pressure was not remaining steady. It kept spiking randomly. We barely slept the night before in anticipation of tomorrow and who it would bring.

Tell me a story
I started telling Cal stories at night about a month ago. Basically because I just wanted to extend bedtime just a little and soak in the "Calvin-Mommy" time before the day was over. I usually tell the stories about animals and they always do some sort of silly thing. He's gotten now to ask for them. He is attached to the frog and monkey stories for some reason. Now he will say, "Money story, Mommy." or "Froggy one, Mommy." He sits still through the whole story and smiles each time they make their sounds. I love this time.
I'm not a country fan at all, but this song has stuck with me for a while. Check it out....but have some Kleenex handy. ("You're Gonna Miss This" by Trace Adkins)
