Calvin got a new BIG bed!

Cal has long outgrown the toddler bed, but we just haven't spend the money nor taken the time to figure out what we have wanted to do for the next step. So we were at IKEA the other day and made a complete impulse buy!

Needless to say, he LOVES it! After we put it together, he kept asking, "Is it bedtime yet?" He is so thrilled with his bed that for the past few nights when we say, "Cal it's just about bedtime." He jumps up from whatever he's doing and shouts, "Yay! It's bedtime!" So the impulse buy was completely worth every penny!

Also, he has been sleeping in until 8am each morning since. He used to wake at 6:30am every morning no matter when he went to bed. I think the tent aspect has helped with the sleeping in. Again, worth every penny!

Then, we decided the same night to breakdown the girls bunk beds. They were equally as thrilled with their new sleeping arrangement. As Mia's comment will prove, "This is the best day of my LIFE!"

The red walls will become another color in a few weeks. See I am very productive when I don't have to go to work!

The Funny Guy that he is!

Just a little somethin'

Mike took these one day when they were waiting for Mia to get out of school. He's so funny!

Show & Tell

Mia decided to take Calvin for her sharing day! He was so happy to be there with her! Mrs. Morrison was surprised at how well he sat and answered all their questions. And of course, he took his Lightening McQueen with him AND had to demonstrate how it works! LOL

Fun at the Fry's

One of the many days that we spend at the Fry's house. After a bunch of swimming and lunch, the guys broke out the go-cart. The girls obviously had a blast riding down the driveway on it! It looks like they are going fast, but really not.

Let's just start with MAY

Calvin turned 3!

I'm not too sure I like this fact, but regardless, it happened. He has hit the full on Terrible 3's, but he is still just so much fun that his humor and daily delight makes up for the tough parts.
Here he is first thing in the morning with his birthday treat! He got a cinnamon roll with candles to start his birthday!

We had a little shindig for him at the house with our closest friends who have meant a lot to his little life. He was such a crack up! (as always)
I forgot to take pictures of his cake, but fortunately Mia took some with her camera. It sure is nice sometimes to have the girls be budding photographers!
Cal, being the little brother to two girls, enjoys playing dress up with them. However, Tinkerbell and Cinderella just don't cut it. While he doesn't mind, it's the times when he comes out of their room and asks, "Mommy, I wanna be princess!" that enough is enough! So Gram and I went shopping for his birthday, and she found the greatest solution!

He also got a firefighter costume too, which he actually wore ALL DAY yesterday! He loves to wear these. We can often be found at Daddy's store keeping the place safe as the resident Sheriff! or keeping the bad guys away while shouting, "ARRRRR" It's quite the crack up!

I haven't forgotten

Honestly, I haven't. I just haven't been in the blogging mood lately. I have taken tons of pictured of fun stuff, and you're going to be overwhelmed by all the pics at once, but enjoy them none-the-less! We've had a few birthdays this spring, school's out, new beds, my new nephew was born, and another trip to Tahoe. It's been a fun few months. I'm just happy school is out!

Mia turns 6

I'm a typical mother in that I don't like the kids getting older. I know it will happen, but I never pictured myself with kids. I pictured myself with toddlers, but my imagination never when further. I don't know, guess I'm just naive.
Mia wanted a Hello Kitty party at Chuck E. Cheese. That is so Mia. She knows exactly what she wants, but it's never what you'd expect! I love that about her! She is truly her own person. We always start off each birthday with a treat and Happy Birthday song in bed. This time however, Mia beat us out of bed! So she crawled in with us and we got up to get her treat.
Notice the Hello Kitty cupcake....I made those for her to take to school and share. She loved them! She also got a new outfit to wear to school too!
Then I had to try my hand at some cake pops. I found this great blog that I fell in love with! I tried to copy the Hello Kitty pops, and they actually turned out pretty well. I made them for Mia's party at Chuck E. Cheese.
We had a great time at Chuck E. Cheese! The kids played great and Mia had a blast! So did Cal, of course!

We then went home to celebrate a little more!I think she had a pretty good day!

Annual trip to South Lake Tahoe

We are so blessed to get to go with the Chilcotes to their condo in Tahoe each May. Again, we had a great time. The weather was beautiful! The kids love playing on the beach. And the company is just awesome! Our new header above was taken this same weekend.

On our way home we followed the Fry's out to Fallen Leaf Lake. It was absolutely beautiful! A gorgeous drive and the most beautiful waterfall (next to Yosemite, of course). It was loud and totally refreshing to stand near.

I was anxiously awaiting the early morning drive to the hospital to be induced and meet my little guy. I seriously can't believe it's been 3 years! I know moms say this all the time, but it's unbelievable. When I think back to that time 3 years ago, it seems like a lifetime ago, but when I think of where the last 3 years have gone, I just can't figure it out.

These last 3 years have been great. While the first 6 months of Calvin's life were quite rocky for me, the last 2.5 years have been great. Calvin is a lot of fun. He laughs constantly and is a complete motor mouth. Sometimes we have him call people just so our ears can have a break of listening! He is a riot. He is totally smart. And just 'cause I'm his mom, doesn't mean I'm the only one who thinks so. His grandparents know he is too! ;)
He has been talking in sentences for what seems like ever. He totally keeps up with the girls in conversation and rarely needs translating. He has got a sense of wit just like his father! I love his sense of humor. He is constantly cracking us up! He has movie lines memorized like you wouldn't believe. He only has to watch a movie one time, and he's got all the one-liners locked in. (You'd be proud Rancadore!)

Cal loves Buzz Lightyear, Little Einsteins, Lightening McQueen from Cars, tractors, listening to books, watching movies, playing pbskids.org, racing on Mario Kart, tattoos, Anne's shells & cheese, warm milk, playing Polly Pockets with his sisters, snacking all day long, playing at the playground at Mommy's school, playing hide-n-seek, helping with the dishes, sleeping with his stuffed doggies and blankie, eating fruit bars, showering, building legos, playing Daddy's drums, and so much more. I'll add some more later...

I just love this little guy!
This was taken this weekend in South Lake Tahoe. (more pics of that to come...)
